MG is the official partner of the French football club Olympique Lyonnais, starting from the 2021/2022 season. To this end, both parties signed a three-year cooperation agreement. As part of the partnership, the MG logo can be seen on the sleeve of the Olympique Lyonnais shirt for the next three seasons.
With the partnership with Olympique Lyonnais, MG has linked up with one of the biggest and most famous football clubs from France, which plays in the Ligue 1 and will participate in a European tournament for the 24th time in club history next season. The amount of attention and publicity surrounding Olympique Lyonnais suits MG very well to increase the awareness of the renewed brand in the region. Especially in France, where 80 MG Brand stores have already been opened in just one year, with the aim of having 100 to 120 MG Brand stores operational by the end of 2021.In addition to the MG logo that will shine on the home and away shirt of Olympique Lyonnais for the next three seasons and will therefore appear frequently on the screen, also the players, staff and part of the management will have access to an MG, with which the brand therefore also acts as a mobility partner. These are the all-new, all-electric and the stylish to choose from, which will be seen frequently around the Groupama stadium of Olympique Lyonnais over the coming seasons. These MG models also contribute to Olympique Lyonnais’ goal of reducing its environmental footprint by adopting more responsible behavior in terms of mobility.
