MG is chosen as “2020’s Best Brand” in Chile

In the 13 years of this voting, this is the first time the brand wins this type of recognition. The award comes to confirm the good 2019 that the brand had in Chile in terms of growth and consolidation.

January 2020.- This time we travel to Chile to talk about the great start of the year that our brand had after it was recognized as “Best Brand” in the “Best 2020 Awards”, organized by Chilean specialized press of the automotive industry. To receive this award, some aspects considered are brand positioning in the market, renewal of its array of products, sales performance, among other criteria. All of this comes to confirm the good year we had as a brand that celebrated its 95th anniversary in 2019.

Since 2008 we have been present in Chile and kept a sustained growth in the past five years. In 2019 we managed to conquer a series of milestones, thanks to the renewal of SUV models and the launching of new models such as the MG 6 and the electric MG ZS EV, among others.

“If well it was a challenging year for everyone, we managed to fulfill our purpose of being a smart purchase choice, by bringing quality vehicles with good design, safety and technology at affordable prices. Thanks to this, we managed to grow in the Chilean market exceeding seven thousand units sold. An important agent in this was MG ZS that was positioned in the ranking of the most sold SUVs thanks to the proposition of value that the vehicle offers,” comments Germán Zapata, Senior Sales & Country Manager of SAIC Motor, manufacturer of MG.

“Nevertheless, during 2019 one of the projects that motivated us the most and that shows MG’s vision for the future when it comes to technology, innovation and sustainability was the introduction of MG ZS EV, the first 100% electric SUV in the country that looks to introduce electromobility to a greater number of people. The award to Best Brand comes to confirm that we are on the right track and that is something that we want to keep on expanding,” concludes Zapata.
